Can Leo Win In A Way Out

A Way Out is largely a story-driven adventure game that is exclusively available in co-op mode. While your choices as Vincent and Leo have some narrative significance throughout the game, your decisions and actions during Chapter 5: Conflict ultimately determine the conclusion.

This is beneficial because, rather than redoing the entire game, you may go back and finish it with a new ending by loading up the last chapter and playing the events differently.

How Many Endings Does A Way Out Have?

There are two possible endings in A Way Out: one for Leo and one for Vincent. Following a significant betrayal in Chapter 5: Conflict, Vincent and Leo are forced to turn against one another and fight for survival, prompting the two co-op players to do the same.

Vincent and Leo engage in a brutal gunfight in the final chapter of A Way Out. Only one of the two fugitives has a chance of escaping. A Way Out’s ending is determined by which of the two protagonists snatches the gun at the end to fire the fatal bullet that kills their partner.

  • Vincent’s Finale You’ll see a cutscene where Vincent is holding Leo’s hand if he survives. Vincent will return to Linda and Alex to inform them about Leo’s death.
  • The End of Leo
  • Vincent wants Leo to leave a note to Carol if Leo defeats Vincent at the end. Carol receives the note from Leo, who puts it on her doorway.

Is There a Secret Ending in A Way Out?

Many players are curious whether there is a third secret ending to A Way Out in which both Leo and Vincent live. While this is arguably the nicest ending, A Way Out does not appear to have any other endings save the two stated above. This isn’t to say that there isn’t another ending, but no evidence has been uncovered to support it.

On March 23, A Way Out was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you and your co-op partner get stuck on one of the game’s many puzzles, check out our A Way Out walkthrough to see how to finish each chapter.

In A Way Out, what happens to Leo?

There are two possible outcomes for Leo: one in which he lives, but one in which Vincent dies. Or one in which Vincent assassinates Leo.

Vincent takes the gun first and shoots Leo in the chest in one ending. They both realize this is the end and clutch each other’s hands till Leo is killed by the gunfire. After some time has passed, Vincent returns to Linda’s trailer to deliver the news. Linda is horrified when Vincent informs her of Leo’s death, and she dismisses him. Leo’s “funeral” appears after Vincent seeks to make amends with his wife. Linda and Alex were the only ones that were visible.

If Leo gets his hands on the gun in the alternate ending, he will shoot Vincent in the chest. Vincent, realizing he’ll die soon, begs Leo to deliver a note to his wife, Carol. Time passes, as evidenced by his beard. Before leaving, he reunites with his wife and son. He delivers the letter before doing so. Vincent’s funeral is depicted in the epilogue, with the family driving out into the distance.

Will Vincent be able to defeat Leo in A Way Out?

For the purposes of this story, Vincent (my character) killed Leo during our game. The shoot-out can be won by either character, however the plot point of Vincent turning on Leo remains constant.

At one point throughout the game, I commented that I would feel deceived if the game took a negative turn. Jenna, did you think the finale was a betrayal?

Jenna: The fact that you shot me to death felt like a literal betrayal. In a broader sense, the game focuses on cinematic cliches and visual style, but it ultimately fails to pay off. Because it wouldn’t have ended this way if it were a movie.

With the twist, the narrative delivers on its action-movie premise, but it falls short of bringing home the thematic story of their friendship, which falls apart in the most action-packed way possible. Even if one of them died in the other’s arms, Leo and Vincent would have found a way to reconcile if A Way Out were a movie.

We spent the entire game not just watching but also enacting the development of their friendship. We were collaborating to strengthen our real-life bond. It felt awful to make Simone betray it by betraying me. It didn’t feel right not to have the option to stay together.

I can’t help but think that if there had been a third option, I would have had a lot more fun. What would you think if there was a different ending?

Simone: You make an excellent point; every decision we performed throughout the game brought us closer together. It wasn’t a decision I made as a player when Vincent was exposed to be a traitor. Suddenly, I didn’t have any control. I shot you because I wanted to improve my game, but I despised being forced to kill this friendship with my own hands.

Is there a twist at the end of A Way Out?

The ending you get in A Way Out is largely determined by how you complete the game’s last chapter, “Conflict.” The two cooperative partners, and friendly players, turn on each other at a moment of treachery. Vincent and Leo notice a gun in the midst of a heated argument. You’ll see the ending associated with the character who fires the final bullet.

If Vincent lives, you’ll clasp hands with Leo one final time before informing Linda and Alex of his death. If Leo makes it out alive, he’ll leave Vincent’s note for Carol to read on her doorway. Although all endings are organized similarly, each cutscene has slightly different lore elements. In the video below, you can see both versions of the conclusion.

Fortunately, because both endings are dependent on what happens in the game’s final minutes, it’s simple to reload your save and view both without having to replay the full game.

Who do you think is better, Leo or Vincent?

A Way Out is a story-driven game with an unusual twist. You can’t finish the game without a friend because the co-op mode is required. One of two characters, Vincent or Leo, will be controlled by the player. Some gamers, though, may be unsure of who they should play as.

The story is essentially the same regardless of whether plays Vincent or Leo throughout the majority of the game. Both characters will stick together for the duration of the adventure, and thanks to the game’s constant dynamic split-screen feature, you’ll always be able to see what the other player is up to. Vincent may be charged with diverting a couple of individuals while Leo creeps around a location obtaining a critical item at some point in the story. But don’t worry, there’s enough of gameplay diversity for both players to enjoy.

If you’re curious about their characters, Vincent is a calm and sensible character who avoids using violence, whilst Leo is considerably more rash and hot-headed.

What Is Leo A Way Out’s Age?

Players can choose to play as Vincent, a 43-year-old with a level-headed personality, or Leo, a rambunctious 36-year-old with a fear of heights, at the start of each play session.

Is there a sequel to A Way Out?

Josef Fares, the director of development firm Hazelight Studios, teased what the new project will look like in a recent interview. Fares stated in an interview with VG247 that there will be no sequel to A Way Out, but rather another story-driven multiplayer game that will challenge players’ patience with its enormous diversity of elements.

According to Fares, “What I can say is that it is not A Way Out 2. However, if you look at Brothers, A Way Out, and the future game, you will notice that they are all made by the same studio. However, it will be something entirely different, with a greater emphasis on incorporating the mechanics into the game. I believe that sharing amazing stories for more than one person has a lot of promise. If you look at today’s movies, you’ll see that we watch them together and share our experiences with them. Multiplayer story games, I believe, are undervalued; there’s a lot of promise there that I’d like to explore.”

Fares continues, saying: “Mechanically, the next game is going to be ridiculous. It’ll be, oh my god, there’ll be so many mechanics that you’ll never get tired of it. ‘What the fuck?’ you’ll exclaim. ‘Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait That’s how it’s going to be. Every 30 minutes, you’re going to get fucked. It’s not a sex game, but trust me when I say you’re going to get fucked.”

What is the finest A Way Out ending?

If Leo is the one who shoots Vincent, a scenario will play out in which Vincent requests that Leo send one final letter to his wife Carol. The players watch Leo walk away as Vincent’s side of the screen goes to darkness.

Cut to a later moment, when Leo delivers the letter to Carol without showing his face, and the players hear Vincent’s voice reading the letter aloud to her. As they begin to pack and prepare to travel to unknown destinations, Leo reunites with his wife Linda and their kid Alex. As the players see Leo drive away as Vincent’s funeral is taking place, the A Way Out ending comes to a close.

In A Way Out, who betrays who?

Vincent Moretti (Eric Krogh) is newly incarcerated in 1972, having been sentenced to prison for fraud and murder. He meets Leonard “Leo” Caruso (Fares Fares) in jail, where he has been for six months on charges of grand theft, assault, and armed robbery. A thug brought in by crime leader Harvey tries to murder Leo in the cafeteria, but Vincent intervenes, sending both of them to the infirmary while the thug is beaten to death after stabbing and killing a prison guard. While in the hospital, Leo asks Vincent for assistance in stealing a chisel from the office. Vincent agrees. Following the theft, Vincent suspects Leo is plotting an escape and offers to assist. When Vincent admits that he, too, has a vengeance against Harvey, Leo reluctantly agrees to collaborate.

Leo and Vincent continue to work on their escape strategy, taking sheets to create a rope and smuggling a tool to open a grate. On a rainy night, the two use collaboration and obtained materials to break out of jail. After eluding the cops in the bush, the two come across an abandoned camp and fish to eat. Vincent admits that he used to be a banker, and Harvey had him launder money as a warning before murdering his brother and framing Vincent. When a police helicopter goes by, Leo begins to narrate his narrative, but is interrupted when both of them begin moving again. They eventually find an old couple’s house and steal new clothes, a shotgun, and a truck before fleeing following cops in the car and, after crashing, in a rowboat. After surviving a waterfall, Leo confesses that he and Harvey had stolen a precious gem, the Black Orlov, but when Leo tried to sell it, Harvey betrayed him by killing their buyer and fleeing with the gem, resulting in Leo’s incarceration.

Before traveling to a construction site with Vincent, Leo ensures the safety of his wife Linda and kid Alex in a trailer park in the city. They track down Ray, a construction foreman who works for Harvey, and capture and question him in order to track down Harvey’s location, which turns out to be Mexico. In order to exact vengeance on Harvey, the two loot a petrol station in order to purchase guns from Jasmine, an arms dealer. When the two leave, Jasmine betrays them by telling Harvey where they are staying. Vincent later calls Emily, a pilot, from a phone booth and persuades her to fly them to Mexico. He later learns from her that his wife, Carol, had recently given birth. The two agree to visit the hospital, where they come with a hitman dispatched by Harvey, whom they manage to overpower. They then proceed to the hospital, where Vincent is able to view his newborn daughter Julie, but they are forced to leave since police officers are stationed outside. Leo gets apprehended, but thanks to Vincent’s assistance, he is able to flee.

Vincent and Leo meet Emily at her hangar the next day, and she takes them to Mexico. A gunfight breaks out when the two of them arrive at Harvey’s estate. After defeating Harvey’s guards and then Harvey himself, the two overwhelm him, compel him to return the Black Orlov, and kill him when he tries to kidnap one of them. Vincent and Leo return to the United States aboard Emily’s jet after escaping with the Black Orlov, but they are instantly surrounded by police upon landing. An officer takes the Black Orlov from Leo and hands Vincent a revolver, revealing that he and Emily are both undercover FBI agents; Leo and Harvey’s Black Orlov deal was actually a sting operation, with Vincent’s brother, Gary, as the dealer slain.

Feeling betrayed, Leo subdues Vincent, holds him hostage, and escapes by hijacking a police car. He crashes his automobile into water while attempting to dodge a police roadblock. Both Leo and Vincent manage to get away from the flooded truck, with Leo snatching a boat and Vincent being picked up by Emily in a police aircraft. Leo jumps from the boat before it crashes into gasoline tanks and sprints into a portside warehouse after a chase in which Vincent tries to damage the engine. Emily and Vincent both chase Leo into the chopper once it landed. Emily is ambushed by Leo, who takes her gun and orders her to leave because the fight is between him and Vincent. On the top of the roof, the gunfight concludes with both men hurt, unarmed, and weary. When they see one of their firearms nearby, they both try to reach it, but only one succeeds, and the other is shot. Before the person shot dies from their injuries, the two have a final moment of friendship.

  • If Vincent survives, he informs Linda of Leo’s death before returning to Carol and makes atonement by explaining he resigned from the FBI in order to maintain their marriage and raise their daughter.
  • If Leo lives, he delivers Vincent’s apologetic letter to Carol before leaving town with his family while Vincent’s funeral is being held.

Is it true that A Way Out is based on a genuine story?

Based on real-life incidents The Way Out tells the story of Ryan, a successful real estate developer who lives a double life until one night while on vacation in Mexico with his family, he is forced to pick which life he wants to live.

What happens if you decide to make Chloe your sacrifice?

Max will use the butterfly photo to travel back to the time Nathan shot Chloe in Episode 1 of Life is Strange if Chloe is sacrificed to save Arcadia Bay from the approaching tornado. She will not interfere to stop him, and Chloe will perish. The tornado will not form as a result of this, and Arcadia Bay and its occupants will be safe.

Before Max travels back in time, the couple will hug or kiss, depending on the player’s choices during the game, such as whether Max blamed Chloe or took the blame in Episode 1. To encourage the two to kiss, players need take Chloe’s side throughout the game and show concern for her financial problems and safety.

If Arcadia Bay is saved, every important character attends Chloe’s funeral in the game’s final scenes. Mr. Jefferson, of course, will be absent, as he has most likely already been captured by the police.
