What method do they use to make horoscopes?
An astrologer must first determine the exact time and location of the subject’s birth, or the start of an event, in order to generate a horoscope. At the same time, the local standard time (adjusted for daylight saving time or wartime) is transformed into Greenwich Mean Time or Universal Time. In order to compute the ascendant and midheaven, the astrologer must translate this to the local sidereal time of birth. The astrologer will then examine an ephemeris, a set of tables that displays the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets for a given year, date, and sidereal time in relation to the northern hemisphere vernal equinox or fixed stars for a given year, date, and sidereal time (depending on which astrological system is being used). The astrologer then adds or subtracts the difference in longitude between Greenwich and the location in issue to obtain the true local mean time (LMT) at the birthplace, which shows where planets would be visible above the horizon at the particular time and location. Planets hidden beneath the earth’s surface are also depicted in the horoscope.
When two people meet and start a relationship, astrology practitioners typically create a composite chart using the aforementioned procedure. The composite chart, according to astrologers, will reveal the nature and purpose of the partnership.
The horoscope is divided into 12 sectors that circle the ecliptic, beginning with the ascendant or rising sign on the eastern horizon. The houses are the 12 sectors, and there are several techniques for calculating these divisions. Since the 19th century, tables of dwellings have been issued to make this otherwise difficult work easier.
Which zodiac sign is universally adored?
The most popular match was Leo + Sagittarius, which scored an amazing 88 percent on an official-looking online zodiac compatibility calculator. According to experts and data, they’re both flirtatious and fun signs that seem to get along well.
The second most popular pairing was Leo + Gemini (89 percent compatibility! ), who are both lively and adventurous, followed by Leo + Scorpio (49 percent… yikes), who are a little more balanced in their temperament, Scorpios tending to avoid spotlight in contrast to party-loving Leos. Experts predict that it will be a difficult match, but the public appears to be motivated to make it work. Leo + Virgo (57 percent, better) also appear to have a lot of difficulties to overcome; realistic Virgo may not be able to tolerate Leo’s free-wheeling style. When Leos are involved, the heart appears to be unconcerned.
Scorpio and Sagittarius were the 5th most popular sign combination, and the most popular without a Leo. With a 49 percent compatibility rate, I’m starting to doubt the accuracy of my love calculator from the mid-2000s.
Cancer + Pisces was the least searched for duo, however be aware that Cancer data may be deceiving due to Google’s difficulty distinguishing it from other cancer queries. Plus, according to the love calculator, they’re 92 percent compatible, so you know they’re meant to be together.
Despite the fact that both Capricorn + Taurus and Capricorn + Pisces have over 98 percent compatibility, Capricorn comes in the bottom 10 list the most. Capricorns who are serious and disciplined may be too preoccupied to Google themselves.
Most Loved Zodiac Signs
The duo that is most likely to have “Cancer + Scorpio, both emotional and gentle signs who are compassionate and committed, came up first in a search for “love” (so sappy, I guess they deserve it).
The Scorpio + Pisces sign is next, which is likewise a sensitive and faithful sign. Exes all around the country are shocked to learn that being both committed and compassionate is the best recipe for love.
The signs of Aries and Taurus are the next most popular “‘Love,’ they say, despite the fact that they’re nothing like the softies above. Action-oriented Aries may clash with obstinate Taurus, who want to ponder things over for a long time.

Gemini was by far the most popular zodiac sign in February 2020, with “Perhaps they are called “valentine” because they are regarded to have two separate sides, offering something for everyone? As astrology continues on its relentless path to becoming our main national religion, searches for zodiac signs + will increase “From 2019 to 2020, “valentine” grew by more than 300 percent.
Virgo was the most probable sign to be searched with during the year “valentine” anywhere in the query, most likely because, in comparison to two-faced Gemini and showboat Leo, they are quite laid-back (totally kidding).
In a reversal of fortune, Leo was the least searched sign in February 2020, maybe because he was pigeonholed as a fun summer fling “Valentine” is included in the phrase.
The most popular zodiac sign was Pisces “I’m crushing.” Pisces is known for being smart and empathetic, so it’s no surprise that they’re more crush-worthy than other zodiac signs. Scorpio and Leo are the next signs in the zodiac “crush” is a search term (it feels like they are rubbing it in our faces at this point).
Most Attractive Zodiac Sign
In 2020, over 340,000 searches were done for ways to attract specific zodiac signs. The top looked for phrases were “how to attract a Leo man” and “how to attract a Scorpio man,” both of which are well-known and highly coveted.
We discovered substantial disparities in the number of searches for how to attract men vs women because many of the queries mentioned a gender.
Although Leo males were the second most sought after, Leo women were the 11th most sought after, trailing only Cancer in overall attraction searches that did not include gendered phrases.
There were 41% more searches for how to attract men than for how to attract women, with Scorpio ranking first in both categories. Taurus, Aries, and Libra outperform their respective astrological signs in terms of population share, whereas Gemini appears to be left out in the cold.
Zodiac With The Most Pick-Up Lines
Sadly or luckily, depending on your preferences, it appears that some Gemini lovers have foregone long-term attraction methods in favor of rapid gratification. All is fair in love and battle, therefore I’m trying not to pass judgment on folks who look for pick-up lines based on their zodiac signs. Of course, I couldn’t resist looking up the outcome of my sign. (If you insist, Taurus.) You might be surprised to learn that I didn’t locate a single bull/horns pun, unless you were one of the almost 7,000 Americans who looked for a zodiac pick-up line in 2020. Rather, it appears that the content is targeted on discreetly (or not) courting signs based on their alleged personality features. YMMV, but they range from mildly amusing to downright terrifying.
Although not every sign receives pick-up line searches every month, Gemini receives twice as many as any other sign. Inquirers could use classic icebreakers like “What would you like for breakfast tomorrow morning?” to get unwary Geminis into a fascinating chat.
The majority of signs had a pretty even distribution of pick-up-related searches throughout the year, but a few seasonal outliers were substantially more popular during particular times of the year.
Pick-up artists targeted cuddly Pisces, who were born in February/March, significantly more frequently in September and December than the rest of the year. Taurus (April/May) was the most popular sign in November, while Libra (September/October) was the most popular sign in January. Gemini, the May/June baby sign, was very popular in the spring, but fell out of favor in the fall. Scorpio is born in October/November and is most popular in the winter, but not in the summer. Love is a fickle creature.
Some zodiac signs have a penchant for drama, ups and downs, and brief bursts of popularity, while others are widely adored at consistent rates. Being a Leo or Gemini, in my perspective, sounds like a lot of work; perhaps, as exhibitionists, they like it.
We’ll conclude by saying that you don’t have to believe in astrology to enjoy it, and you don’t have to be a Leo to find love.
What is your zodiac sign?
The Scorpion is represented by this Zodiac Symbol. Scorpio was introduced to Emoji 1.0 in 2015 and was authorized as part of Unicode 1.1 in 1993 under the name “Scorpius.”
Who created the signs of the zodiac?
The 12 zodiac signs Aries (March 21-April 19), Taurus (April 20-May 20), Gemini (May 21-June 20), Cancer (June 21-July 22), Leo (July 23-Aug. 22), Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22), Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22), Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21), Sagittarius (Nov. 22-De These Western, or tropical, zodiac signs were named after constellations and paired with dates based on their apparent relationship to the sun’s position in the sky.
By 1500 BC, the Babylonians had divided the zodiac into 12 equal signs, with constellation names that were similar to those we know today, such as The Great Twins, The Lion, and The Scales, and these were later adopted into Greek divination. These 12 signs were popularized by the astronomer Ptolemy, author of the Tetrabiblos, which became a key work in the history of Western astrology.
“Ptolemy codified the idea that there were 12 signs of the zodiac that were 30 wide and that the sun travelled through these signs on a regular basis throughout the year,” says Odenwald. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word “zodiac” is derived from a Greek term meaning “sculpted animal form,” and the sequence in which the signs are normally enumerated is also derived from that period.
