What Is Zodiac Academy About

Zodiac Academy is a Dark Bully M/F Paranormal Romance series that follows Tory and Darcy Vega, twins who discover they’re Fae and must learn to manage their power while defending their throne from the four Heirs who want to claim it in their stead.

This series takes place in Solaria five years after the events of the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac series and five years before the events of the Supernatural Prison for Dark Fae series. Each series may be read independently, and there are no spoilers for any of the novels in the series; however, there is some character crossover and hints and clues to the other books if you look for them.

What is the age range for Zodiac Academy?

My zodiac sign is Gemini. Impulsive. Curious. Headstrong. A sibling. I’m the heir to a throne I’ve never heard of. I’m Fae, as it turns out. But there’s a catch: all I have to do to claim my birthright is demonstrate that I’m the most powerful supernatural in Solaria. Yes, I am the daughter of the Savage King, so technically it is correct. But what they didn’t say in the brochure was that if they could, every Fae in this Kingdom would demand my throne.

They’ve put me to a school that is both perilous and a wild party. The Werewolf pack has orgies in the Wailing Wood every full moon, and don’t get me started on the dark and twisted ways the Sirens utilize their abilities on people’s emotions, or how my sinfully enticing Cardinal Magic teacher hosts detentions that leave people in need of treatment. If you can make it through the classes, they’re a lot of fun. And what about the Gemini zodiac sign I mentioned earlier? It now defines my elemental power and influences my fate, so learning astrology is a must if I’m going to beat up on my classmates – which, by the way, is highly encouraged.

The drool-worthy Dragon shifter who has his eyes on my throne is my biggest concern. He and his three psychopathic pals are dead-bent on making my stay here a living nightmare. All I have to do now is stay alive. However, fate may have other plans. Why couldn’t I have received a letter from Hogwarts?

Don’t expect a pleasant magic school with pals around every corner in this dark, bully romance. Only the best survive at Zodiac Academy, a ruthless school for pupils aged 18 and up where only the strongest survive. There’s no Dumbledore to save the day, and Lionel Acrux will give Voldemort a run for his money in the category of nasty dictator. So grab your stardust (no broomsticks required) and brace yourself for a bumpy journey.

What is the definition of a dark bully romance?

The bully romance sub-genre is a must-try… you either love it, loathe it, or have conflicting views about it.

What exactly are bully romance novels? You usually have a dark and brooding hero who is out to make the heroine’s life miserable, similar to the enemies-to-lovers cliche. However, because to the sensitivity of the subject matter, many bully romance books are not for everyone.

Personally, I’ve only been bothered by a couple of bully romance novels, which usually occur when the hero goes too far or the heroine fails to stand up for herself.

Is Zodiac Academy suitable for a 13-year-old?

Despite the fact that it’s plainly aimed at younger YA readers, it’s about college-aged kids. It treats adult themes with a disconcerting lack of seriousness. My skin crawled, and I was triggered by some of the frightening encounters, despite the fact that I am rarely disturbed by books. 1 out of 5 stars.

Is the Zodiac Academy still open for business?

Tory and Darcy are Fae and the successors to Solaria’s throne. Their mother transported them to the human world after they were born, leading them to grow up as Changelings. Their parents were assassinated shortly after, and their council, the Celestial Heirs, took control.

Some people are keen to see Tory and Darcy on the throne, while others want to see them kneel to the Celestial Heirs’ four sons: Max Rigel, Caleb Altair, Darius Acrux, and Seth Cappella. Tory and Darcy want want to finish their training, provide for their families, and never have to worry about anything again. But things are never straightforward at Zodiac Academy, and the twin sisters are unwittingly dragged into a simmering power struggle.

What a thrilling start to a series. When we realized Zodiac Academy: The Awakening was on Prime Reading, we opted to read it. It’s somewhat of a cross between Harry Potter, Avatar: The Last Air Bender, and Fate: The Winx Saga. Peckham and Valenti focused on Zodiac signs and the fact that all Fae bend the elements, which we love. The majority of people can only bend one or two, but Tory and Darcy can bend all four. They’re also twin Geminis, which further distinguishes them in Solaria.

We like Tory and Darcy’s dual POVs as the protagonists. We did love Tory’s chapters a little better because she’s sassy, fierce, and self-assured. She isn’t one to shy away from a challenge. While Darcy is satisfactory in general, we anticipate further character development from her in book 2.

The Celestial Heirs are next! They reminded me of Prince Cardan from The Cruel Prince in terms of their personalities. They each lead a Zodiac Academy house (air, water, fire, and earth) and will go to any length to maintain their supremacy. Caleb (earth) and Darius (sky) are the two of them that have piqued our interest the most (fire). They appeared to be the more complicated of the two. We thought Seth (air) was the worst, while Max (water) was a little dull.

The plot is off to a terrific start, and we’re quite interested in the world that has been established. We’re quite interested in learning more about the Kingdom and the Vega twins’ parents. We need to know how Tory and Darcy will get themselves out of this jam because the book ended on a cliffhanger.

Pick up the first book in the Zodiac Academy series as soon as possible if you’re looking for a creative and dark upper YA fantasy set at a Fae version of a college. We’re excited to get started on Book 2: Ruthless Fae as soon as possible.
