It turns out that the dates for the Western zodiac calendar have moved, with each one beginning much later. You are now a Sagittarius if you were born in early to mid-January as a Capricorn.
Early- to mid-July-born cancers? Stop crying and whining about how sad you are. You are, in fact, a Gemini.
Oh, and Ophiuchus is the new 13th astrological sign. We know, it sounds like a “Matrix” figure. Those of you born between November 29 and December 17 are now Ophiuchus-es.

In what constellation do we find ourselves?
Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is a cluster of stars that we call home. Our sun is almost midway between the center and the visible edge if you envision it as a disk with spiral arms coming from the center. In what scientists once assumed was just a bridge of stars, gas, and dust clouds, our solar system is sandwiched between two noticeable spiral arms. Research discoveries in recent decades have revealed that humans reside in our own spiral arm of the galaxy, albeit a modest one. The Orion-Cygnus Arm, often known as the Orion Arm or Local Arm, is our spiral arm. The names Orion Bridge and Orion Spur are still used sometimes.

The structure of the Milky Way
The Milky Way is classified as a barred spiral galaxy because it has a central bar. There’s still a lot we don’t know about our galaxy’s structure. The Milky Way is around 100,000 light-years long, 2,000 light-years deep, and contains 100 to 400 billion stars, according to current estimates. Its core bar may have four principal spiral arms and an unknown number of smaller offshoot arms.
Where do our sun and its planets dwell within this huge spiral structure? On the inner margin of the Orion-Cygnus Arm, we’re around 26,000 light-years from the galaxy’s center.
Two principal spiral arms, the Sagittarius and Perseus Arms, are situated between it and the Sun. The many spiral arms, as well as the location of our sun on the Orion-Cygnus Arm, are depicted in the artists’ concepts above and below.
The Orion Arm
The Milky Way’s Orion Arm is estimated to be 3,500 light-years across. Initially, scientists estimated the distance to be around 10,000 light-years. It could be more than 20,000 light-years long, according to a recent study released in 2016.
Astronomers are still monitoring the positions and distances to many stars and gas clouds to piece together the Milky Way’s structure. Distances are calculated using parallax measurements by earth and space telescopes. Gaia, a fully operational space telescope, is giving astronomers with a wealth of fresh data that will help them better understand the Milky Way’s structure and scale. Gaia’s declared purpose is to create a three-dimensional map of our Milky Way galaxy.
How our local spiral arm got its name
The Orion Arm takes its name from Orion the Hunter, one of the most prominent constellations in the Northern Hemisphere winter sky (Southern Hemisphere summer). Some of this constellation’s brightest stars and most well-known astronomical objects (Betelgeuse, Rigel, the stars of Orion’s Belt, the Orion Nebula) are sort of neighbors to our sun, as they are positioned within the Orion Arm. That’s why we see so many bright objects in the constellation Orion: we’re looking into our own local spiral arm when we look at it.
The sun is nearly half the distance between the Milky Way’s center and its furthest reaches. It’s in the Orion Arm, a tiny spiral arm between two larger arms.
What is our astrological age right now?
The Age of Aquarius is now in full swing. For many, there was a noticeable shift in energy from 2020 to 2021, albeit both years were a roller coaster. Apart with navigating the Covid era, we’ve also been told that we’ve entered a new astrological phase.
What makes it unique? That’s where things get a bit tricky, but we’ve sought the expertise of psychic and astrologer Inbaal Honigman to help us figure it out. However, keep in mind that the Age of Aquarius is frequently linked to social action, equality, and advancement. Finally. Everything you need to know is right here…
What kind of retrograde are we in right now?
The first retrograde will occur between January 14 and February 3, 2022. The second retrograde will occur between May 10 and June 3, 2022. The third retrograde will occur between September 9 and October 2, 2022. The fourth retrograde will occur between December 29 and January 18, 2023.
Is Jesus a Pisces or a Capricorn?
An astrological age is a period of time in astrology that corresponds to fundamental changes in the development of Earth’s inhabitants, particularly in culture, society, and politics, and there are twelve astrological ages that correlate to the twelve zodiac signs. The precession of the equinoxes causes astronomical ages, and one whole phase of this precession is called a Great Year or Platonic Year, which lasts around 25,920 years.
The age of Pisces began around the year 1 and will finish around the year 2150. Many Christian icons for Christ include the astrological symbol for Pisces, the fishes, because the narrative of Christ’s birth falls on this date. Christ is regarded an archetype of the Piscean since he has many of the temperaments and personality qualities of a Piscean. Furthermore, the twelve apostles were known as “fishers of men,” early Christians were known as “little fishes,” and “Ikhthus,” the Greek word for fish, was used as a code term for Jesus. The beginning of the era, or the “Great Month of Pisces,” is seen as the start of the Christian religion as a result of this. Saint Peter is the apostle of the Piscean zodiac sign.
In which galaxy do we find ourselves?
We dwell in one of the Milky Way’s arms, which is a massive spiral galaxy. The Sun and its planets (including Earth) are located roughly half way out from the galaxy’s center, in this peaceful region.
The Milky Way is a massive whirlpool that revolves every 200 million years. At least 100 billion stars, as well as dust and gas, make up the universe. It is so large that light is absorbed by it.
Because to clouds of gas and dust, seeing the center of the Galaxy is difficult. Scientists believe it houses a gigantic black hole that devours anything that comes too close.
Around 200 star clusters in the shape of balls can be found outside the main spiral. Each ‘globular cluster’ is millions of years old and contains a lot of stars. The Milky Way is one of at least 40 galaxies that make up a cluster. The Milky Way and Andromeda are two huge spiral galaxies in the so-called Local Group.
The others are somewhat smaller. Two galaxies visible with the naked eye from countries south of the equator are among them. After the Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan, the galaxies are known as the Magellanic Clouds.
On which galaxy does Earth reside?
Our home is the planet Earth, which is part of our solar system. But where has our solar system vanished to? It’s only a sliver of the Milky Way Galaxy. A galaxy is a massive clump of gas, dust, and billions of stars with their own solar systems.
When I was born, what constellation was the Sun in?
Even in our educated modern world, everyone is aware of their “star sign.” You’re a Gemini if you were born on May 22nd, right? No, when you were born, the Sun appeared in front of the constellation Taurus. These issues had been discussed in the Sydney Morning Herald’s Column 8 for some time when my colleague Allan Kreuiter was quoted in the column on Monday, July 5, 2010, outlining everything.
The Earth wobbles or precesses slowly over a period of 26,000 years. The Earth’s axis, which spins once a day, is 23.5 degrees off-kilter with the plane in which it orbits the Sun. Summer, winter, fall, and spring are all influenced by this tilt. The Sun and Moon’s gravitational pulls on the Earth are such that they are attempting to tip the globe over, resulting in the Earth’s steady wobble known as precession. Precession is the phenomena that permits a rider on a moving bicycle to lean to one side and then turn in the direction of the lean rather than falling over.
The zodiac is now the band of constellations or star images in front of which the Sun appears to move throughout the year. Precession causes the zodiac constellation that the Sun is in front of at any given time to move by about one constellation every 2000 years. Another difference is that the zodiac used to be divided into 12 star signs, but astronomers now recognize 13 constellations, with Ophiuchus being the 13th.
‘As a one-page document to have in your back pocket for those terrible What’s your star sign? moments at parties, this one takes a lot of beating,’ according to Column 8, the Sydney Observatory information sheet listing the historical and current dates for the various zodiac signs. Here is the information sheet so that the blog’s outgoing readers are properly prepared for such discussions at parties and elsewhere:
Is this the beginning of the Age of Aquarius?
The precise commencement date of this new epoch is debatable. Some astrologers believe it will begin on the vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere on March 20, 2021, while others, like as Kelly, believe it will begin in December 2020. “She claims it’s more conceptual than you might believe. “There is no clear agreement on when it will begin. What we do know is that this is a period associated with hope and creativity in general. When it happened last, in the 19th century, it was a time of technological, industrial, and government revolutions. All of these characteristics are Aquarian.
