It’s easy to dismiss astrology as a complicated pseudoscience, especially if you’re unfamiliar with your natal chart, Kundli, the basic meaning of astrological houses, and what each one signifies, especially since they all play a role in our lives. You’ve probably heard of Sun signs or Zodiac signs in astrology. It’s the signs that most people are familiar with, but your Ascendant is just as essential.
The Ascendant is essentially your public persona. It encompasses your physical appearance, temperament, nature, personality, and self-awareness. The way you show yourself is also revealed by your Ascendant or Lagna.

In astrology, who is the Lord of the First House?
The 1st house is normally ruled by Mars, and the zodiac sign that controls is Aries, according to the original birth chart. However, in your situation, any number from 1 to 12 can be in the first house. (Take note of the number and the zodiac sign it corresponds to.) The “Ascendant” is another name for the first dwelling.
In Vedic astrology, what is the lord of a house?
This is a pretty frequent astrology word, yet many people are unfamiliar with it. In Vedic astrology, the Lord is also known as Ruler and Swami. It’s a term that’s utilized in relation to houses. In astrology, there are 12 divisions called as houses. When you look at your birth chart, you’ll see a few columns or boxes called houses. Each sign/Rasi is in charge of a certain house. A planet rules each Rasi, and that planet is referred to as the king of that house. Each House provides us with information about many aspects of our lives. Marriage, income, health, career, and a variety of other factors all have a role.
What planet rules the 12th house?
There’s nothing else to say. Saturn – Through its two signs, Saturn can also be the ruler of the 12th house. Saturn in the 12th house (for Pisces/Aquarius Ascendants respectively) denotes that access to distant regions or international adventures came late in life in either sign (Aquarius/Capricorn).
Which planet rules the 7th house?
If you have the Sun as the lord of your 7th house and have an Aquarius ascendant, you will attract authority personalities in your life. As a result, the spouse would be a leader who is confident, successful, and influential. Because the Sun is in the sign of Leo, the spouse will take charge of the marriage, want you to follow his or her example, and inspire you, but there will inevitably be ego issues, which both of you must address maturely. The spouse would have a high social status, be creative, and work in a leadership position, such as a businessperson, a government figure, or a C-level executive.
Is the ascendant and lagna the same thing?
The first house, or Ascendant, is the most important house in your horoscope. The Lagna represents your body and self, as well as significant indications regarding your life’s guiding traits.
You can gain a better knowledge of your motivations, inner spirit, and vital attributes by learning what your Lagna is.

Cancer (Moon) and Leo (Sun) are the only Sun signs where planets do not inhabit any other Sun signs. As a result, the horoscope includes all 12 Sun signs as well as their Lords.

Which planet rules the second house?
According to Parasari principles, the lord of the Dhana bhava, i.e. the second house, should occupy either its own house or a kendra to make one prosperous; the lord of the Dhana bhava located in a triksthana, i.e. the 6th, 8th, or 12th, causes loss of wealth. The lord of the Dhana bhava in its own or exaltation sign, aspected by Jupiter, makes one popular, prosperous, and generous. Jupiter conjoining Mars in the 2nd house, as well as the lords of the 2nd and 11th houses occupying each other’s houses or conjoining in a kendra or trikona, bring a lot of money. The lord of the second house in a kendra aspected by Jupiter or Venus, as well as the lord of the 11th house in a trikonabhava, makes one extremely wealthy.
Any strong and mutually disposed association of the lords of the 2nd, 11th, 5th, and 9th bhavas suggests money accumulation. The lords of the Dhanasthana and Labhasthana conjoining in a kendra and endowed with power impart tremendous wealth, which is multiplied by these bhava-lords associating with the lords of the two trikonas; the trikona-lords are signifiers of good fortune, prosperity, and immense wealth. The lords of the second and eleventh houses in conjunction with Jupiter make one extremely affluent. The bhava-lord and the bhava-karaka must work together in any yoga-formation in order to achieve the optimum results for that bhava. Both must be strong and unaffected. Furthermore, having a powerful benefic planet in its exaltation sign in any of the aforementioned bhavas makes one wealthy and prosperous. Exalted planets in the 5th or 9th house, according to Ramanuja’s Bhavartha Ratnakara, make one particularly lucky and famous; exalted planets boost the significance of the bhava they happen to occupy. According to the Jataka Tattva, first determine which drekkena the lords of the 2nd and 11th are in, then determine which navamsas are occupied by the lords of those drekkenas, and if the lords of these navamsas attain Vaisheshikamsa and occupy the kendras or trikonas, the person will be blessed with a very sound financial status
When the lagna-lord and the lord of the 2nd house join forces with a benefic planet, and their dispositor is strong and unafflicted, one becomes prosperous later in life. When the lords of the lagna and the 2nd house are in mutual sign exchange, riches is easily acquired. When more than one planet occupies the 2nd house from the lagna (or the Moon) and the lords of the 2nd and 11th bhavas are powerful and inhabit their exaltation signs, one earns/acquires vast wealth and lives a rich, easy, and comfortable life. The lord of the 11th house from the lagna demoted to a trika bhava, or either the lord of the 11th or the lord of the 12th house located in the 8th house devoid of benign effects, however, predicts insolvency.
According to Mansagari, either the lord of the lagna or the Moon conjoining with Mars gives steady wealth and keeps one always above want, but papagrahas in the 2nd house or cruel planets in the 2nd and also in the kendras give poverty, whereas auspicious planets in the 2nd house confer financial prosperity. Janardan Harji goes on to say that having Mars in the 8th house and/or the Sun in Libra in a trikona will make you a pauper and even make you beg for handouts.
Which planet rules the 11th house?
Saturn – Through its two signs, Saturn can also be the ruler of the 11th house. Saturn in the 11th house (for Pisces/Aries Ascendants respectively) implies that money comes after a lot of hard labor in either sign (Capricorn/Aquarius).
