Learn about the power of the planets and how to pray for their blessings at specific times of the day/week using the planetary hours.
The rebirth of astrology, combined with the release of works such as the Picatrix, an 11th-century book of astrological sorcery, has brought devoted kinds of astrology to the notice of the general people. Previously, only a few people had private translation access to such texts. Planetary magic has resurfaced as a relatively thorough and self-contained system in and of itself, not only as an add-on to other forms of magical practice.
Astrological magic is a type of remediation, which is the technique of mitigating any harm that your natal chart or a tough transit or time lord may bring.
Rather than being a passive victim or benefactor of planetary forces beyond your control, remediation provides you the power to change or influence your fate. Astrology then takes on the form of a dance, one in which you can actively participate rather than simply observe. Each planet has its own purpose, as well as themes and issues that are related to it. For each planet, below are some simple planetary magic tactics.

THE SUN: CONFIDENCE AND VISIBILITY
The Sun can be used to increase visibility, strengthen personal sovereignty, and promote oneself. It also has to do with men, your family’s patrilineal line, and legacy.
If your sun is debilitated (in Libra or Aquarius), is in a dark house (sixth, eighth, or twelfth), has malefic aspects or is conjunct the lunar nodes, or if you have any solar deficits, you may profit from solar magic and propitiations. Fear of being seen, lack of recognition, low levels of self-love, self-esteem, and admiration, depressed impulses, and a reluctance to push yourself out into the world are all examples of these.
“Wearing silver jewelry and pearls, volunteering or donating to charity that support mothers and women, especially on Mondays or during the Moon’s hour, are wonderful for Moon healing.”
Yellow and gold are the colors of the sun. It has a strong numerical magical relationship with the number 6. Sunflowers, golden liquors, lighting a yellow (or white) candle, and honey are all good sacrifices to the Sun. Wearing gold jewelry and rubies, volunteering or donating to organizations that support children or dads, and volunteering or donating to charities that benefit children or fathers are all excellent Sun-remedial activities, especially on Sundays during the Sun’s planetary hour.
THE MOON: EMOTIONAL WELLBEING AND FEARS OF SCARCITY
Depending on whether the Moon is Full or Dark, waxing or waning, it can be employed for manifestation and dissolution. Women, the matrilineal side of your family, and children are all connected to the Moon.
If your natal moon phase is fresh or waning, if your moon is conjunct one of the lunar nodes or is highly aspected by malefics, or if the Moon is positioned in Scorpio or Capricorn, where the Moon loses conventional dignity, lunar charms and propitiations may be in order. If your moon is in the sixth, eighth, or twelfth house, or if you have any lunar deficits, such as a strong sense of scarcity, material and emotional insecurity (perceived or manifest), moodiness or erratic behavior, issues forming (or releasing) bonds, or any mental or emotional disturbances, lunar remediations may be beneficial.
White, grey, and silver are the lunar colors. In terms of magic, the Moon’s primary numeric relationship is 9. Glasses of water, sea shells, wine, and white candles are all good Moon offerings. Moon healing can be achieved by wearing silver jewelry and pearls, as well as volunteering or donating to charity that support mothers and women, especially on Mondays or during the Moon’s hour.
SATURN: RESPONSIBILITY AND RESILIENCE
Saturn can be utilized to bind and restrain self-destructive or other people’s behavior. Saturn can bestow benefits such as long life, but as the greater malefic, he is more commonly associated with curses.
Saturn work may be required if Saturn is afflicted in your chart, either in a sign that lacks traditional dignity, such as Aries, Cancer, or Leo, or in the first house in particular. Saturn, as the bigger malefic, is usually the one who causes harm to other planets, so if you place a strong emphasis on Saturn, especially if you were born at night, a course of Saturn magic and remediation may be good. After the initial Saturn return at age 29, significations usually increase and continue to improve over time.
Lack of personal accountability, fear of committing to any long- or medium-term plan, unwillingness to take things seriously, impatience, and a lack of grit or the ability to function under duress are all signs of a Saturn deficiency.
“Jupiter can be employed to magnify and improve all nice things because he is the bigger benefic.
The colors of Saturn are black and grey. In planetary magic, its primary numerical relationship is 3. Saturn like simple and austere offerings, such as black, unsweetened coffee, dark rum, cigarettes or tobacco, and plain, unseasoned, and dark foods. Clocks, antiques, hour glasses, and bones are appropriate for Saturn altars. The Vedic philosophy considers blue sapphire to be the most important Saturn gem, although any black stone, such as obsidian, tourmaline, or onyx, will suffice. Volunteering or donating to initiatives that aid the elderly, as well as feeding crows (one of my personal favorites), are excellent Saturn remedies. These are best done on Saturdays, when Saturn’s planetary hour is in effect.
What does astrology have to do with divination?
Astrology is a sort of divination that involves observing and interpreting the fixed stars, the Sun, the Moon, and the planets to predict earthly and human events. Devotees think that knowing how the planets and stars affect earthly matters permits them to forecast and alter the fates of individuals, groups, and countries. Despite being recognized as a science throughout its history, astrology is largely regarded today as being diametrically opposed to modern Western science’s findings and views.
What role does spirit have in astrology?
Your birth chart serves as a personal map that describes who you are as a person. It explains your mind and displays the character of you as a person and how you function in the world. To learn more about your soul’s inner workings, delve beneath the surface of your horoscope, which is full of planets, aspects, and houses, and into the Arabic Parts, also known as Lots, which describe the essence of your soul.
There are many parts, one for everything possible, but your soul goals are described by the seven fundamental parts, each tied to one of the seven ancient planets.
The self and the world appear to be the same from the perspective of your soul. The evident image portrayed in the birth chart is the self/world view. The relationship between the soul (as expressed in the seven major Arabic parts) and the self (as reflected in the energies provided by your planets, signs, and houses) is frequently uneasy. The soul half of you strives for your personal greater good, whilst the self part of you is drawn to the material or physical world.
Another instrument to show the soul in the horoscope is required to distinguish the soul and self and study the interplay between these two components of yourself. Working with these seven Arabic elements allows you to express your true essence and explore the richness and complexity of the interaction between your soul and psyche/self.
When you look at a birth chart, you’ll notice that the center is always vacant. Even though the Arabic parts are displayed on the Zodiac wheel (or ecliptic) like planets, it is this space that symbolically symbolizes the soul’s energy. It’s as if the Arabic sections of the chart, which aren’t immediately obvious, are part of life’s mystery. The Arabic parts must be computed and then inserted into the chart, which is best done by hand. The fundamental essence of the soul is revealed in this way through practical application. The soul and its expressions, like life, are not instantly visible to the naked eye. This passage, according to Lao Tzu, encapsulates the significance of space:
It is the vessel’s empty space that makes it functional. For a room, we make the following doors and windows:
These vacant spaces are what make the space livable. As a result, while the tangible has benefits,
Soul, Arabic Parts and incarnation
The Arabic Parts are arranged around the birth chart to disclose the chart within the chart, the soul within the psyche, and the essence or heart within the practical necessities of life. Each Arabic part is calculated using a special method that takes into account planetary positions as well as important angles (like the ascendant or midheaven).
It is said that the horoscope’s relationship between the components and planets becomes the selling point for each existence. After each portion has been computed, it is given a planetary ruler to follow for the rest of one’s life.
Plato’s Republic ends with The Myth of Er, which describes the philosophical perspective on incarnation that is implicit in much astrology. This story follows Er as he travels around the afterlife, meeting fresh souls that are ready to incarnate. Their decisions about which ‘lot’ or life to choose demonstrate how you engaged in a co-creative dance to choose your life this time, with the kinds of experiences required for your soul growth.
The story is fantastic, as the new souls’ lives are verified by the three fates, who choose a time for birth when the cosmos and planets are perfectly aligned to ensure that one’s horoscope matches the themes of the life chosen. Until this is established, the freshly chosen souls cross the Plain of Forgetfulness and camp along the River of Unmindfulness, explaining why you have little or no recall of this ‘choosing your life’ experience once you arrive.
The language surrounding interpreting the Arabic components is limited since they express the soul. In human language, how does one describe the etheric soul? Their position in your birth horoscope highlights the main themes and archetypes that go through your soul’s journey. The Arabic sections tell the inside tale of what’s truly going on for you this lifetime by sign, house, and ruling planet. They point to areas in your life that have a higher spiritual charge and potency for you.
In dynamic or predictive astrology, the Arabic components are especially useful. Important times of changewhere your soul pushes itself over your self or lower mind can be identified by examining where and when the Arabic components, and hence the soul, collide with day-to-day living (aka the planets). This can happen when the Part of Fortune, added around solar return or synastry charts, stimulates birth planets or chart points via progression, or when the parts, put around solar return or synastry charts, trigger birth themes.
Interpreting the Arabic Parts
There is a theme or characteristic to each of the basic Arabic parts. Determine what you want to learn more about and then concentrate on that area. The planet that regulates each part is the most crucial factor to consider when analyzing it. That is to say, whatever Zodiac sign the part belongs to, the governing planet of that sign represents whatever that part represents in your chart and in your life, as if the ruling planet of the part is the part’s guide or representative in your daily life.
The traditional planetary rulers are what matter here, while the Arabic components derive from older areas of astrology. They are as follows:
Calculating parts
The formula for each part is based on an arcthe distance between two specified points, which is then carried over to a third point and projected from there, despite the fact that the parts mirror the seven visible planets. The arc has significance in and of itself.
The Seven Pillars of Wisdom allude to these seven major components. They are mentioned by both al-Biruni and Paul of Alexandria, with only minor differences (al-Biruni does not include the inferior planets’ placements in his calculations, although Paul of Alexandria does).
The formulas below are taken from al-1029AD Biruni’s book, The Book of Instruction in the Elements of the Art of Astrology. “There are three things to attend to in each case,” he says, “Place 1, the beginning, Place 2, the end, and Place 3, the casting-off point.” Al-Biruni was a Persian scholar, mathematician, and anthropologist who lived in the 11th century.
The parts represent the essence or concepts of things, therefore regard each part’s expression in your life as a greatest principle, ideal, or aspirational concept when you consider what it implies for you (by natal sign and house placement, or any planetary conjunction).
The seven primary parts
This is the section of the horoscope that is most widely used in modern astrology. This al-Biruni formula is based on Ptolemy’s method of calculation, which he never changed.
It projects an arc of space out from the ascendant, the horoscope’s commencement or beginning point, based on the moon phase at birth (the distance from the Sun around the Zodiac to the Moon). This section emphasizes the significance of the birth moon phase. It might be very straightforward to guess if you know your birth or natal moon phase. The POF is close to the ascendant during New Moon birth phases. The POF is near the IC during first-quarter Moon birth phases. The POF is near the Descendant during Full Moon birth phases. The POF is near the MC in third-quarter Moon birth phases.
This section is about fortune, but not in the liberal, modern meaning. Fortune is associated with positive energy, such as happiness and good fortune. This single point in the horoscope represents energy (by sign and house) that assists you in accessing your greatest happiness. This is the “pearl of great price,” according to astrologer John Frawley, and the part of fortune is “where you suppose the springs of life water run.” It is your fortune in the truest meaning of the word, and attracting this energy into your life ensures that you will always be fortunate and have ‘wealth.’ It’s also very likely that following your passion in life will lead to financial success. It is, in essence, an energy that assists you in achieving inner balance and harmony.
This is a tremendously spiritual part that most of us are unable to access. It’s difficult to put into words and frequently appears in the charts of notable leadersthose who are truly inspired by goodness. It is thought to be a part of abundance, and because it is associated with the Sun, it is associated with generosity (the Sun as the light- and heat-giving star or entity).
This part of your horoscope falls into a house in your horoscope that represents a time in your life when you are experiencing the goodness of life or the wealth of the cosmos. This section projects off the ascendant the other arc between the Sun and Moon (this time starting at the Moon and continuing around the Zodiac to the Sun). Giving on many levels is shown in this piece.
Ascendant + Spirit Part = Ascendant + Spirit Part = Ascendant + Spirit Part = Ascend
a stroke of luck The distance between the Parts of Spirit and Fortune is projected off the ascendant by this portion. It’s a description of love on a more basic, human level.
Wanting is a reflection of the gap between what you love and yourself, which is reflected in love. This section discusses the desire to accept what is lacking. It’s a personal point that expresses how you feel about human, real-life love (as opposed to devotional love reserved for deities or faith).
This portion, like the Part to Love, employs the distance between the Parts of Spirit and Fortune, but in the opposite direction. This section is also known as the Part of Necessity, as it describes life’s unavoidable obstacles.
Mercury is a mental planet, hence despair is frequently caused by much pondering, worrying, or analyzation. It’s about reality’s logic or rationality, and it demonstrates how you make decisions. Mercury is the planet of bargaining. By sign and house, this section demonstrates how you deal with the realization that you must make choices all the time and how you deal with them.
Ascendant + Part of Fortune = Ascendant + Part of Fortune = Ascendant + Part of Fortune =
Saturn This is both a part of captivity and a way to get out of it. It is sometimes stated as a characteristic of those who advance in rank or status in life, i.e., those who become less “enslaved” by their circumstances.
It is sometimes referred to as the sinful portion of the zodiac because it demonstrates how not using Saturn (discipline, attention, and commitment) can get you into problems. This is the avoidable challenges of life, where you can overcome difficulties with personal control and determination. It’s a metaphor for how breaking the law leads to more laws being imposed on you. As you go up the scale, either through success or monetarily, you gain access to more resources and are better prepared to deal with difficult situations.
Ascendant + Jupiter = Ascendant + Jupiter = Ascendant + Jupiter = Asc
Spirit is a part of This section highlights Jupiter’s core meanings of courage and grace, as well as where mercy fits into your life. It’s all about receiving life’s goodness or abundance.
If you believe that things grow or evolve out of your efforts only by grace, then this placement indicates that beautiful feeling of being looked after. It highlights some of the regions or ways in which your efforts will blossom most fast or abundantly by sign and house. This section demonstrates your personal faith journey.
This section refers to correct action, and the sign and house represent the areas of life or interests that challenge you to always do the right thing, above and beyond the call of duty.
This section necessitates ego transcendence. Have you have the fortitude to do the right thing, regardless of the circumstances, not just from a legal standpoint but also from a humanistic or moral standpoint? This section summarizes your personal path of appropriate action.
The Parts By Element
The elemental outlines in this section will help you energise each of these parts in your chart. Parts of the body that fall under the Fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) inspire mobility and action. Make these themes bold and audacious. You’ve been assigned the role of initiator. Take the reins and steer the ship ahead.
Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) are looking for stability and security. You can develop with a level of material comfort that meets your basic necessities. The best strategy is to take it slowly and steadily. Establish a positive relationship with your physical body and its requirements.
Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) have parts that need to be stimulated. Ideas and concepts are what let you embrace the parts in these indicators, thus knowledge and study are important. It’s critical to surround yourself with people who share your thoughts or convictions.
Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces) yearn for interpersonal connection. The importance of interpersonal relationships and emotional engagement cannot be overstated. In this element, focus on engaging with other individuals about the themes of your parts.
Zodiacal Longitude
How to multiply and divide planetary or chart positions around the Zodiac. The Zodiac is a complete circle with a circumference of 360 degrees. Each sign denotes a 30-degree circle section. The first step in effortlessly adding or subtracting chart placements is to convert the planetary placement (for example, 10 Taurus) into Zodiacal Longitude. As a result, a common system emerges. The majority of chart placements use a degree/minute reference, but for the sake of simplicity, only degrees are used here.
Simply add or subtract the numbers as they are after you have all three places required for the portion. If your answer is less than zero, multiply it by 360. If your answer is more than 360, subtract 360 to get a number between 0 and 359. Then, using this information, reapply it to the chart to determine the Zodiac placement of the component in concern.
Worked Example
Then, as follows, enter the figures into your formula:
Bring 264 to the table with you. This number is between 240 and 269, and it is in the Sagittarius zodiac sign. Subtract 240 (Sagittarius’ beginning) from the total of 264. This leaves 24 people. This section falls on the 24th degree of the Sagittarius zodiac sign.
What are Saturn’s lessons for us to learn?
Saturn is the planet of lessons in life, karma, obstacles, limitations, and adversity. Saturn is a more challenging planet that teaches us what we need to know via hardship, hard labor, perseverance, and tenacity. The most difficult lessons are learned in the years leading up to Saturn’s return. If someone is willing to face reality and understand what they require, the second time Saturn visits those houses will be less challenging. If the person ignores the teachings and tries to flee, the second time Saturn passes through that region, it will be just as difficult.
Saturn, as a planet, is not out to harm you. All of the forces in our cosmos are in harmony and work to help us grow and evolve. Saturn expresses his concern for you by assisting you in becoming stronger.
