What if Vincent assassinates Leo?
There are two possibilities for Vincent’s story to end: the player can opt to keep Vincent alive, but this will result in Leo’s death. Alternatively, the player might choose to have Vincent die.
In the first ending, where Vincent lives, Vincent kills Leo by shooting him in the chest. He then goes to Leo’s wife, Linda, and their son, Alex, and explains the issue to them. Linda, overcome with grief, forces Vincent to leave. Before Carol invites Vincent inside, Vincent is seen returning home to meet his wife and newborn baby, telling his wife that he has left the police force and that he likes his daughter’s name, Julie.
Leo shoots and kills Vincent in the second ending, which leads to Leo travelling to Vincent’s family to give his letter to his wife. He hesitates before reaching for the doorbell. He turns around and places the letter on the doormat before ringing the doorbell as he was about to walk away. As Carol answers the door, Leo hastily exits. As Vincent’s funeral was on the same day, Leo drives away to meet with his family at a motel, and they ride off into the horizon.
Is there a third way out in A Way Out?
While we’re still sifting through every inch of A Way Out, we can’t find any indication of a third ending or one in which both Vincent and Leo live. This makes a lot of sense, based on our conversation with game director Josef Fares late last year. Fares did not perceive A Way Out as a product with a lot of replay value or many branching routes at the time.
He expressed a wish to ensure that the entire plot progresses according to the appropriate emotional cues. An ending in which both Vincent and Leo live could perhaps change the plot sufficiently that it wouldn’t have the same emotional impact at the end. It wouldn’t make sense, either, considering the magnitude of the betrayal.
However, it’s possible that there’s a third ending that has yet to be uncovered. However, it appears that only the two endings are now available.

A Way Out is a story-driven game with an unusual twist. You can’t finish the game without a friend because the co-op mode is required. One of two characters, Vincent or Leo, will be controlled by the player. Some gamers, though, may be unsure of who they should play as.
The story is essentially the same regardless of whether plays Vincent or Leo throughout the majority of the game. Both characters will stick together for the duration of the adventure, and thanks to the game’s constant dynamic split-screen feature, you’ll always be able to see what the other player is up to. Vincent may be charged with diverting a couple of individuals while Leo creeps around a location obtaining a critical item at some point in the story. But don’t worry, there’s enough of gameplay diversity for both players to enjoy.
If you’re curious about their characters, Vincent is a calm and sensible character who avoids using violence, whilst Leo is considerably more rash and hot-headed.
What Is Leo A Way Out’s Age?
Players can choose to play as Vincent, a 43-year-old with a level-headed personality, or Leo, a rambunctious 36-year-old with a fear of heights, at the start of each play session.
Is it possible for Leo to live in A Way Out?
A Way Out is largely a story-driven adventure game that is exclusively available in co-op mode. While your choices as Vincent and Leo have some narrative significance throughout the game, your decisions and actions during Chapter 5: Conflict ultimately determine the conclusion.
This is beneficial because, rather than redoing the entire game, you may go back and finish it with a new ending by loading up the last chapter and playing the events differently.

Is There a Secret Ending in A Way Out?
Many players are curious whether there is a third secret ending to A Way Out in which both Leo and Vincent live. While this is arguably the nicest ending, A Way Out does not appear to have any other endings save the two stated above. This isn’t to say that there isn’t another ending, but no evidence has been uncovered to support it.

After A Way Out, whither did Leo go?

After Vincent betrays Leo and exposes that he is an undercover cop for the Five Lakes Police Department, Leo kidnaps Vincent and tries to flee in a car, but fails. He also tries to flee on the river, but is unsuccessful due to Vincent and Emily’s pursuit. He battles Vincent at a portside warehouse, refusing to take Vincent’s deal (a lower sentence in exchange for his assistance) and surrender himself in. Finally, if Vincent is the first to reach the pistol on the rooftop, he takes aim and shoots Leo in the chest. He collapses against a metal post and dies from his gunshot wound after one last solid handshake with Vincent. His body was eventually found and buried.
Is it possible for me to play A Way Out by myself?
No, you won’t be able to. A Way Out is a two-player game that requires two controllers to play. You can play sofa co-op or internet co-op with another person.
Two controllers are required to play A Way Out as a single player game. That’s not as ridiculous as it seems at first – the opening sequence and first major event are certainly workable with two controllers, but it quickly becomes unmanageable. In a nutshell, you should make a friend.
Is there a sequel to A Way Out?
Josef Fares, the director of development firm Hazelight Studios, teased what the new project will look like in a recent interview. Fares stated in an interview with VG247 that there will be no sequel to A Way Out, but rather another story-driven multiplayer game that will challenge players’ patience with its enormous diversity of elements.
According to Fares, “What I can say is that it is not A Way Out 2. However, if you look at Brothers, A Way Out, and the future game, you will notice that they are all made by the same studio. However, it will be something entirely different, with a greater emphasis on incorporating the mechanics into the game. I believe that sharing amazing stories for more than one person has a lot of promise. If you look at today’s movies, you’ll see that we watch them together and share our experiences with them. Multiplayer story games, I believe, are undervalued; there’s a lot of promise there that I’d like to explore.”
Fares continues, saying: “Mechanically, the next game is going to be ridiculous. It’ll be, oh my god, there’ll be so many mechanics that you’ll never get tired of it. ‘What the fuck?’ you’ll exclaim. ‘Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait That’s how it’s going to be. Every 30 minutes, you’re going to get fucked. It’s not a sex game, but trust me when I say you’re going to get fucked.”
