When Did The North Node Enter Gemini

In our collective soul journey, where are we supposed to grow and stretch? Gemini’s lunar North Node is here to lift us up.

The lunar North Node in Gemini (the star that regulates all locally produced things) travels in time with eclipses, directing our dharma and progress. With the global coronavirus pandemic in full force, it’s probably for the best that we’re escorted home, as our summer 2020 travel plans are all but #cancelled.

The first lesson appears to be about teaching us what it means to be human “Friendly.” During this 20-month cycle, collaboration and communication can help us bring our hometowns to life. Hey, that might be all it takes to make it through the 2020 economic catastrophe. Bartering could become more effective under the guidance of the Gemini North Node “As we swap services and goods instead of currency, we’ve dubbed it “the new Venmo.” (Will you install my hardwire light fixtures in exchange for a bushel of homegrown heirloom tomatoes?)

What the South Node’s placement tells us

The karmic South Node moves into Sagittarius across the zodiac wheel, compelling us to consider the consequences of increasing global growth and travel on the not-so-lonely planet over the last two decades. (Recall the dangerously packed queue of climbers snaking around Mt. Everest in May of this year, which resulted in 11 people dying.) While certain limitations may be lifted this summer, the South Node warns us not to fall back into old habits. Yes, we all miss #ResortLife and adventure travel, but what about climate change’s inconvenient TRUTH (Sagittarius’ favorite word)? We’ve only been in quarantine for a couple months, but we’ve grown accustomed to the cleaner, quieter skies that aren’t clogged with carbon emissions from nonstop flights and belching factories pumping out the never-ending stream of “buy more stuff!” wares that we’ve become addicted to ordering…by two-day delivery, of course.

The last Gemini-Sagittarius configuration began in 2001

The last time the nodes were in the same Gemini-Sagittarius configuration was from October 2001 to April 2003, a cycle that began just a month after the Twin Towers in New York City were destroyed. The aftermath of September 11 had such a tremendous impact on travel that we are still removing our shoes at airport security checkpoints 19 years later, in addition to reconfiguring international ties. New York City, an international port and the epicenter of so many critical sectors, is once again in crisis, as coronavirus outbreaks rage at unprecedented levels, shutting down the city for much of the fall of 2001. Similarly, between now and January 18, 2022, global border regulations, trade agreements, and alliances are expected to change significantly.

The axis of communication, Gemini/Sagittarius, rules publishing and the media. Will journalistic ethics become more stringent, or will rules lead to censorship and more “false news”? We’ll be compelled to embrace life’s paradoxes with the North Node in Gemini. Yes, every tale has two (or more) sides, and none of them are 100 percent credible. This data-driven zodiac sign, on the other hand, will require us to draw a legitimate line between fact and fiction.

In Gemini, what is the North Node?

Communication and learning are the signs of Gemini and Sagittarius. Your life goal could include teaching, learning, writing, and conveying a message if you were born with a Gemini or Sagittarius north node. These lunar nodes are always collecting and spreading information. They are the most social of all nodes, with a diverse group of friends and acquaintances.

Sagittarius is the global ambassador, while Gemini oversees local travel and familiar faces. If your north node is in Sagittarius, you may feel more at ease with a small group of people who know who you are. Traveling (which is controlled by Sagittarius) can make you apprehensive, especially if you’re young. You can even have a fear of flying. However, when you engage the larger universe, you experience tremendous spiritual growth. Gemini is the Twins’ sign, and Gemini south nodes are always looking for someone who “gets” them. These individuals must push themselves to stretch out and take risks without the support of a reliable wingman. Gemini is the sign of the hands, and these south node individuals may be gifted with them, working as artisans, musicians, authors, or hands-on healers.

Gemini south nodes may have used their verbal prowess to manipulate others in previous lives. Some of them may have been outright liars, minor robbers, or con artists. (Many Gemini south node individuals admit to minor stealing or continuous lying as children!) They must keep an eye on a tendency to distort words or play with people’s thoughts during this lifetime. Others may become victims of deception as a result of skilled manipulators and guru figures. Cultivating the Sagittarius north node attributes of honesty and big-picture vision can assist these individuals in rising to their highest selves and releasing the karma of previous lives.

People born under the sign of Gemini have the polar opposite problem. They’ve traveled the globe, made new friends and lovers in each port, and now must learn to stay put! If your south node is in the earth sign of Sagittarius, you’ve lived many lives as a “Marco Polo” adventurer or a lofty ivory tower academic. The task for the Gemini north node person is to establish roots. They’re also learning to look at the world from a straightforward, common-sense standpoint, rather than constantly philosophizing. They should live by the acronym K.I.S.S. (“Keep It Simple Sweetheart”).

Gemini north nodes, who are always on the move, may find it difficult to settle into a community. Many people born under the sign of Gemini prefer to reside in big cities or university towns. Their careers may include travel, foreign language, or publication, and their wanderlust hits frequently. They thrive in an environment dominated by Sagittarius, which is associated with greater learning and foreign influences. Gemini is the zodiac sign of communication. People born under the sign of Gemini are studying the skill of communication rather than one-sided conversation. They may have trouble dealing with Sagittarius’ inclination for bluntness and arrogance. Active listening and mirroring are two interpersonal communication abilities that the Gemini north node needs to improve. (Fortunately, they may satisfy their Sagittarius south node’s need for knowledge by attending workshops on these themes!)

When did the nodes enter Gemini and begin to sag?

Have you ever wondered why eclipse seasons come around every six months? The reason for this is that the moon’s nodes are always 180 degrees apart, on opposing sides of the zodiac. Every six months, when the Sun approaches one of the lunar nodes, it forms eclipses during the new and full moons due to a perfect geometric relationship. In May 2020, the (“real”) lunar nodes entered Gemini and Sagittarius, where they will remain until January 18th, 2022. The final eclipse on this axis will occur on December 3rd, 2021 in Sagittarius, before the nodes migrate to Taurus and Scorpio.

Eclipses can cause story twists in the chart’s corner where they occur. A South Node eclipse (which we’ll see on December 3rd) can start the release process: the discarding or letting go that must happen before we can rebuild on more solid grounds. The North Node eclipse (which occurred on June 10th, 2021) has the power to bring people, things, and events into our lives. Both have the potential to be thrilling. Both have dragons of their own.

In 2022, what will the North Node be?

The spring and autumn eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio are among the top astrological occurrences in 2022. The eclipses’ positions correspond to the lunar nodes, two moving axes that represent a wealth of cosmic information. Nodes, as points on your star chart and in transiting astrology, are associated with karma and consciousness and can be interpreted in a variety of ways. What are nodes, and how can they influence not only your own astrology but also the year’s major events? We go into the moon’s nodes’ history and calculation, as well as their placement on the Taurus-Scorpio axis and how they’ll affect you during eclipse season.

NODES BASICS

Despite the fact that we know our solar system is heliocentric, with all planets orbiting the sun, most of conventional astrology is based on the geocentric notion, which places the earth, and hence us, at the center of the cosmic drama. As a result, the ecliptic, or the presumed orbital path of the sun as seen from Earth, is given its own computed field, much like a sonar in old submarine movies. In the meantime, the moon, which orbits the earth, follows its own course, which is inclined from the ecliptic. Nodes are the sites on an axis where the two fields meet, with one junction at the northern and one at the southern latitudes. If this seems a little strange, it’s because it is. Nodes aren’t like planets in that they aren’t visible. They symbolize sites of intersection and collision, as well as the opening and closing of gates.

The nodes move retrograde, or backwards, through the signs, taking roughly 18.5 years to complete a revolution. They spend around a year and a half in direct opposition to one another. The north node retrograded into Taurus in January 2022, while the south node entered Scorpio, where they’ll stay until July 2023, when Aries and Libra take their turn. As a result, all eclipses in 2022 will fall on the Taurus-Scorpio axis (more on that later).

NODES SYMBOLISM

The nodes symbolize various poles of consciousness: the north represents destiny, future, and imminence, while the south processes what we already know. Demetra George recounts the mythological ascriptions of meaning to the nodes, which are frequently referred to as the Dragon’s Head (north) and Dragon’s Tail (south), in her book Astrology and the Authentic Self (south). The hero Marduk fights the monster Tiamat in the ancient Babylonian creation myth “The world’s upper and lower hemispheres were formed as a result of the head and tail.” In Hindu mythology, a world dragon with the head of Rahu and the tail of Ketu appears.

As a result, the north node points us toward Rahu, or the Dragon’s Head. In this lifetime, what does it desire to consume? The north node, in a broader sense, signifies where you’re heading, what you’re looking for, and where your higher destiny rests. Jane Eyre arrives at Thornfield Hall for employment, and Kiki and Jiji hitch a ride to a brand new town in Kiki’s Delivery Service. The north node, wherever it appears in your chart, denotes a point of direction, where a higher vibration of consciousness or a sensation of arrival awaits.

Meanwhile, Ketu, also known as the dragon’s tail, digests, processes, and releases what we already know. Steven Forrest states in The Book of the Moon that the south node “carries the essence of karma from previous lives that has ripened for you in this lifetime.” As a result, your south node does not necessarily represent lower consciousness, but rather that which you are already aware of and ready to achieve. This could refer to your natural abilities, talents, or interpersonal dynamics, which don’t necessarily provide something new. Johnny Cammareri presumably resonates by the south node for Cher in Moonstruck, while his brother Ronny, like it or not, vibrates by the north node, and the gates to Loretta’s fate.

NODES AND ECLIPSES

Though the moon and sun collide on a monthly basis during new and full moons, they only collide at the nodes once every six months. Enter eclipses, which can only happen “during a new or full moon when the moon is also conjoined to one of the lunar nodes,” according to George. Eclipses align the sun, moon, and earth because the nodes represent the crossings of many orbits. Solar eclipses occur when the moon passes in front of the sun, blocking the sun’s light from our view. On a full moon, a lunar eclipse occurs when the earth conceals the moon’s reflecting light.

As a result, eclipses represent a sudden and spooky clash between the sun and the moon, with the world hanging in the balance. The nodes symbolize the collective and individual consciousness’s direction and movement. The themes of their respective polarizing signs are activated as the two most direct heavenly bodies hit the nodes, revealing long-buried shadows and revelations.

THE NODES IN 2022

The north node is in Taurus from January 2022 until much of July 2023, with the south node in Scorpio. Taurus is the sign of possession, self-esteem, and personal worth, as well as the sign of form and embodiment. The Appollonian discourse is ruled by the bull, in which we can create our own aesthetic and symbolic meaning. Scorpio is a sign tuned into the primal powers and interactions that define us, and it burns away the self and plunges it into the abyss; into the Dionysian, animalistic, and transforming truths.

Many of us are coping with our own history of power hierarchies, gaslighting, and rising up from the matrix as the United States approaches its Pluto Return, the culmination of years of unearthed injustices. We’ve watched as hidden, or silenced, crimes have been brought to light, from sexual misconduct by Supreme Court judges to pervasive police brutality, since Harvey Weinstein’s stunning revelation (when Jupiter entered Scorpio in 2017). This awakening is, in a sense, the task of Scorpio, the serpent in the Garden of Eden, who was sent to bring us to the truth, no matter how painful it may be.

However, as the north node moves into Taurus, we are invited to reorganize after the damage. Scorpio and its ruling planets, Mars and Pluto, complete the necessary destructive karmic task. The effigy of fertility is Venus, the ruler of Taurus. It’s time to put everything together and build something new. How do you want to shape your sense of self-worth and identity? The north node of Taurus acts as a counterbalance to the prevalent assumption that the world is doomed. Instead, it invites us to concentrate on re-building it, beginning with our own personal domain: What are your plans for making money? How much are you worth? What are your emotional and physical integrity standards?

A partial new moon solar eclipse in Taurus on April 30 and a full moon total lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 16 make up the first eclipse wave. These two will break any final seals in your personal hellmouth, revealing the ways you’ve bought into power hierarchies in your family, career, social, or romantic lives. Any score that has been retained for a long time, whether by the body or otherwise, is supposed to expose and fix any inconsistencies in your self-worth. On October 25, a new moon partial solar eclipse in Scorpio will occur, followed by a full moon total lunar eclipse in Taurus on November 8. Cleanse, confront, and plot a plan for the future. There’s no one standing in your way of power any longer.

Is your North Node shifting?

The lunar nodes are used by astrologers to identify your destiny (north node) and what you were in previous lives (south node). Every 18 months, the nodes switch signs. Your “soul tribe” is made up of people who were born in the same lunar node group as you. You were born into the same body as them in order to learn the same things.

The lunar nodes are the subject of Kabbalah’s astrology. The north node is referred to be your tikkun (“correction”) in this philosophy, and it represents the karmic adjustment your soul must make. The nodes are known in Vedic astrology as the head (Rahu/north node) and tail (Ketu/south node) of the dragon, with the south node’s karma being harsher.

Parents-to-be should be aware that if you have a child between the ages of 18 and 19 or 36 and 37, you will share the same nodes. And if you date, marry, or form a partnership with someone nine or ten years your junior or senior, there’s a good possibility they’ll have the opposing nodes (for example, if your south node is Virgo and their north node is Virgo). You’ve both mastered what the other has come here to learn, which may be a powerful but divisive zodiac compatibility combo. You can be unstoppable if you combine your innate abilities.

Is the North Node of Gemini intelligent?

Gemini is related with the element air. The same is true for Rahu, whose element is also air. As a result, Rahu, the North Node, is a great fit for this airy sign.

Amplified Wit & Intellect

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which represents wit and mental intelligence. In this sign, Rahu, the North Node, intensifies these characteristics, resulting in a person with substantially elevated intelligence and strategic thinking.

Rahu is naturally shrewd, intelligent, and cunning, which adds to the power of this effect.

Rahu, on the other hand, is a very deceitful master of illusion, whose energy Mercury must carefully and appropriately control.

If Mercury, Rahu’s guide, is in a dignified sign, it signifies that the intelligent mind will be used for pious causes and decent intentions.

Clever & Strategic

A strong Mercury, being the planet of intellectual thought, accentuates the cleverness even more.

As a result, such people have incredibly strong mental powers and are capable of accomplishing extraordinarily complex tasks in even the most severe of circumstances.

These indigenous are strategically advanced because Rahu, the master of illusion, is joined with their enormous wit and intellect. Because of their innovative techniques, they are incredibly efficient, swift, and powerful when it comes to addressing problems.

What is the current North Node?

The North Node of Destiny is currently in Taurus, while the South Node is in Scorpio. This started on January 18, 2022, and will last for 18 months, ending on July 19, 2023.

By circling your True Node, or North Node, in your birth chart, you can discover your destiny. The South Node will always be the polar opposite of the True Node in sign and degree. Use the interpretations below to circle both of them in your chart.

What is the meaning of Gemini Chiron?

Chiron in Gemini might represent someone who is shuttled between many schools and teachers, experiencing life on the outskirts of what is deemed normal or healthy in society.

This posting can assist others in developing intellectually through participation in intellectual activities or academia, even if these interests are unusual by society’s standards.

When Chiron is in Gemini, it indicates that the person is intelligent and has a strong interest in the arts. They may be exceptionally well-educated in their field of choice and communicate well with others through writing and speaking.

They are fast minds with the ability to comprehend both complex concerns and minute details. However, because he or she is torn between the two main figures, Chiron and Gemini, the local is apprehensive and shy.
