Targets for Rebel Templars and Apostate Mages are dispersed throughout Ferelden and Orlais. The following targets need to be taken out:
- In the Hinterlands, Ser Rebenger Torn has set up camp. Fast traveling to the Forest Inquisition Camp is the most direct route to the destination (the westernmost camp on the World map).
- The Western Approach is home to Leo of Lucien Bay’s camp. The aim is in Echoback Canyon; the fastest starting point will be to quickly arrive to the Echo Back Canyon Inquisition Camp. The northern portion of the Approach must first be opened in order to get to the goal, though. To reach the section, a sizable amount of the primary quest in the area must be finished.
- On the Exalted Plains, Ser Hildebrandt has set up camp. Get Entrance to Ghilan’nain’s Grove, a war table operation, must be successfully completed to gain access to the Crow Fens, where the objective is located. Go to the Dead Hand after making a quick trip to the Fens Inquisition Camp. The target can be reached by leaving the puzzle area from the back. Compared to other enemies in the area, Hildebrandt will be a considerably lower level foe.
- In the Emerald Graves, Jepler the Unbound has set up camp. Northeastern region is where the goal is located. To get there, either take a quick trip to the Direstone Inquisition Camp or the gate to Din’an Hanin. After completing the war table operation Investigate Elven Ruins, you can access the Din’an Hanin quick travel marker.
- In Emprise Du Lion, Gordon the Frank has set up camp. Elfsblood Tower is where the target is; swiftly travel to the Sahrnia Inquisition Camp, then turn north. There isn’t much of the Emprise that needs to be explored in order to reach the destination.

When the Inquisitor eventually catches up to the Grey Wardens, they find that Warden Commander Clarel is unknowingly being led into a Venatori trap by Magister Livius Erimond. The Grey Wardens are determined to undertake a ritual that would aid them in eliminating the surviving Old Gods. The Warden mages will be brought into Corypheus’ service by Erimond, a Venatori member and Corypheus’ servant. By completing the Investigate the Western Approach war table scouting mission in Skyhold, the Inquisitor can get entry to The Approach.
In Western Approach, where is the dragon?
One of the eleven high dragons seen in Dragon Age: Inquisition is the Abyssal High Dragon. It may be located in The Wastes (south of Nazaire’s pass), which is the southernmost region of the Western Approach.

A second place, to the north of the first, will be highlighted as you get closer to the center of this region. A toxic green vapor similar to the one found in Death Drink Spring will stop The Inquisitor march here (where the War table operation Crossing the Sulphur Pits was unlocked). The war table action Find the Source of Darkspawn will become available after the area is claimed.
In addition to replacing the toxic gases with a raised walkway leading north to the Prison Ruins, completing the war table operation will update the quest’s objective (Access the Tevinter ruins). The North Prisoner Entrance of Coracavus is located near the ruins.
The quest’s goal is now to investigate the area inside Coracavus. You might also go into the holding cells, which are on the left. Find the veilfire torch there and loot the chests and codex entries.
