Because this boss is vulnerable to fire and lightning, bring out your Fireballs, Firebombs, and Gold Pine Resin from earlier. After passing through the fog gate, turn right and climb the ladder to kill the two undead bowmen. Then go down to start the fight.
Make sure you have everything you need and are in good health since you may need it for this one. When it appears, dash back to the ladder and let the Taurus Demon to pursue you. You’ll then be able to climb all the way to the top of the ramparts and launch a devastating plunging strike. Keep in mind that if you stay too long at the top of the rampart, Taurus will leap up and knock you down.

- The player can enlist the aid of Solaire of Astora. Just before the demon’s Fog Gate is his summon sign. Solaire can help distract the boss, but despite possessing his own Orange Charred Ring, he takes a lot of damage because he engages the demon while it’s still under the lava.
- With good endurance, defense, and fire defense, it is feasible to have a relatively safe combat. The demon will normally do a wind-up smash after multiple extending pounces and then approach quite close to the fog door. Keeping your distance from the monster’s legs will force it to perform high jumps and explosive jumps. The demon will occasionally try to swallow the player, but remaining close to the demon’s legs when it lands and blocking while the demon is in the air is an excellent method to stay alive and land consecutive knee shots. However, explosive jumps are still risky.
- Severing the Centipede Demon’s right head, which spawns as a distinct adversary, is a good approach. The player will obtain the Orange Charred Ring after killing the head. After leaving the arena with a Homeward Bone or quitting, the player can return with the ring equipped. This gives players access to the whole boss arena, allowing them to charge the demon while only incurring small lava damage. This gives the player extra room to move around.
