However, much technology and methodology was exchanged between the two over the next seven years. Some may be surprised to learn that more of what was “correct” in Porto Alegre was sent to Springfield than was sent south of the equator from Springfield.
Our current ownership purchased 54 percent of Taurus outright from Bangor Punta in 1977. A mission to increase the entire quality of Taurus products was launched right away. In addition, the company has started a rapid expansion campaign.
Beretta had won a large contract to build small guns for the Brazilian army in 1974. Beretta agreed to build a facility in Brazil and hire Brazilian workers as part of the transaction.
