I’m bored, so I started thinking of Banana Fish characters’ zodiac signs. (FYI, these are only attributes frequently assigned to particular sun signs; I’m aware that astrology is based on a lot more.) Here’s how it goes:

6) Ibe: Kind, welcoming of all types of people (even if he’s skeptical of them, like he was of Ash), goes with the flow, and can be rather nave (how many times did Eiji lie to him/hid things??). Pisces is the zodiac sign of the fish.
7) Yut-Lung: A competitive diva who became bored after defeating his foes and achieving his objectives, so he made additional foes and objectives. Aries comes out on top.
8) Blanca: This was a difficult one for me. Because of his unwillingness to commitment, I initially assumed Sagittarius, but he lacks the fiery mentality that Fire Signs are known for. He’s incredibly charming, infuriatingly neutral, and a master of masking. He’s terrifyingly skilled at reasoning everything he does, as well as reading people and detecting social clues. 9) Sing Soo-ling: A capable but hesitant leader. Even at an early age, he is fair and reasonable, but he still exhibits childlike behavior. To a fault, he never gives up on people. Capricorn comes out on top.
10) Cain: Despite his menacing demeanor, Cain is affable. He gets along with everyone and is skilled at playing both sides for his own gain. Doesn’t much appreciate drama, yet frequently finds himself in the midst of it. Gemini is the sign of the zodiac.
11) Arthur: Has the potential to be a great leader, but his grudges and resentments led to his (physical) demise. To me, it sounds like a Scorpio.
12) Lao: This is a tough one. He’s obedient and prefers to obey orders than taking command, but he does have a bossy streak. He means well, but he believes he knows more about Sing than Sing knows about himself. Virgo comes out on top.
I skipped over a couple characters whose personality I couldn’t quite figure out. Characters like Golzine, Marvin, and Foxx were also left out because they lacked individuality. They’re just dreadful. There’s nothing to them other than the fact that they’re terrible.
